Rangers manager Philippe Clement provides update on Lundstram injury

Clement concerned after midfielder goes down against Hibs

Manager hopeful for positive news, but admits injury 'doesn't look good'

Rangers manager Philippe Clement has confirmed that John Lundstram's injury does not look positive after the midfielder was forced off during the team's 2-0 victory over Hibernian on Saturday.

Clement told BBC Scotland: "It doesn't look good at first sight. We will do a scan tomorrow (Sunday) to see the extent of it, but it does not look good."

Lundstram was forced off in the 33rd minute of the match after a challenge with Hibs defender Rocky Bushiri. Clement confirmed that the injury is to the midfielder's ankle.

"It is his ankle," Clement added.

"It is too early to say anything about the severity of the injury, but it does not look good at first sight.

"We will do a scan tomorrow and see what the extent of the damage is."

The injury is a blow to Rangers, who are already without a number of players due to injury, including Ryan Jack, Ianis Hagi and Filip Helander.

Clement will be hoping for positive news from the scan, but the manager admits that he is concerned about the extent of the injury.

"I am concerned," Clement said.

"We do not have too many players available in the midfield position, so it is a concern.

"We will see what the scan says and then we will take it from there."
