In a thrilling MLB matchup on June 2, the Los Angeles Dodgers emerged victorious over the New York Yankees with a final score of 8-4. The game was a back-and-forth affair, with both teams trading blows throughout the night.

The Yankees struck first in the bottom of the second inning when Aaron Judge launched a solo home run off Dodgers starter Julio Urias. However, the Dodgers responded in the third inning with a two-run double by Miguel Vargas. The Yankees tied it up in the fourth inning on a sacrifice fly by Matt Carpenter, but the Dodgers regained the lead in the fifth inning on a solo home run by Max Muncy.

The Dodgers extended their lead to 5-2 in the sixth inning on an RBI single by Trayce Thompson. The Yankees closed the gap to 5-4 in the bottom of the inning on a two-run homer by Jake Bauers, but the Dodgers put the game away in the seventh inning with a three-run homer by Chris Taylor.

Dodgers reliever Blake Treinen came in to close the game and secure the victory. The win gives the Dodgers the series opener and improves their record to 33-25 on the season. The Yankees drop to 34-26.

The two teams will face off again this weekend in a three-game series at Dodger Stadium. The Dodgers will look to continue their winning ways, while the Yankees will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing home loss.
